The changing of LeBron James number from 23 to 6 would probably also spawn the changing of his logo used by Nike. I took a moment this morning after reading about him changing numbers to do up my idea of what it could be while keeping the spirit of the current logo mark. It’s an honorable change, but is it necessary? I don’t know. It could be some big marketing fiasco for all we know. (This is unofficial NIke work. W+K, call me.)
I wouldn’t even be surprised if they created a new logo for LBJ that didn’t inject the number 6 into it as they did with the LBJ23 logo (which I think is great btw) in case for whatever reason his number changes again. Maybe they’ll ride the lion direction, or go with the Dunkman logo (too similar to Jumpman23 logo imo), or perhaps it might be something more symbolic such as the Kobe logo that Nike currently uses. Who knows if they’ll even change it at all? Since this was something that LBJ brought up in November of 2009, I would imagine that Nike probably already has a solid amount of design ideas created as they waited for this moment to come. We’ll have to wait and see.

Worked with DJ Teddy Rockspin of the Commission crew out of Norcal on his new mixed CD dropping this weekend! (January 8, 2010). It should be an amazing release that includes 7 mixes for over 8hrs of music mayhem.

since79.com gets refreshed with a new logo, new blog, and some updated pieces.
I finally stole some time to refresh everything since79.com —from logo to business cards. since79.com has been my online home for about 7 years and is currently on version 5. This new version is focused on creating a more personal communication with you through a few ways. I would like to meet more folks out there through social media networking, building conversations with viewers through the blogs and being able to share the things that evoke and inspire me.
The new brush script was hand drawn by myself to add that personal touch as since79 is really my second identity. The fluid strokes used helps to represent my adaptive style.
Looking forward to see how this evolves. While you’re here, please let me know what you think.

This is a 6 page layout in comp stages, but was later finalized by the creative team at Gravis nearly the same. This was the launch of a new sector of Gravis footwear, called Gravis IV, as they naturally moved forward into making kicks for skaters. With Arto Saari and Dylan Rieder leading the launch. Due to some unforeseen constraints, I was unable to stay on board to help complete the launch of the brand as a freelancer. They ended up doing a fantastic job completing it as well as developing more ads for other riders. Their website looks great too. Check them out at ivsk8.com.
